TIMUQUANA COUNTRY CLUB

Situated along the St. Johns River in Jacksonville’s historic Ortega neighborhood, Timuquana Country Club has served generations of members since its founding in 1923. The nearly 400-acre property is anchored by its historic clubhouse and Donald Ross-designed golf course, with expansive views across the river toward downtown Jacksonville.

For more than a decade, ELM has served as Timuquana’s consulting planner, architect and landscape architect, guiding long-range planning and multiple phases of capital improvements throughout the Club. ELM’s work has included the riverfront pool and The Grove outdoor dining venue, fitness center renovation, à la carte kitchen replacement, dining and mixed grill renovations, men’s and ladies’ locker room renovations, golf pro shop improvements, tennis facility upgrades, golf practice facility expansion and riverfront terrace improvements.

More recent projects include the Golf Performance Center, featuring three teaching bays, a putting studio, reception and gathering space, office, workshop and storage, along with a new pickleball facility with six courts, shade pavilions, viewing areas and an open-air pavilion. The pavilion includes a retail pro shop, self-pour tap wall, towel refrigerator, storage, restrooms and lounge seating. ELM is also providing design services for future improvements, including a golf maintenance facility and other long-range capital projects.
