camp immokalee

Since its inception in 1909, YMCA Camp Immokalee has served the Keystone, Florida community in their mission to strength mind, body, and spirit through a unique combination of outdoor education, summer camps, conferences, and local events. When approached with the opportunity to help revitalize its sprawling 100+ year old campus, we began with an intensive research and outreach project in order to thoroughly understand the goals, wishes, and needs of our clients. Through an extensive wall mapping session, we identified key objectives: to provide a sense of destination upon arrival, to increase accessibility for persons with mobile disabilities, to update a number of structures, including cabins and administration facilities, to expand programming options, and to strengthen the relationship between the Camp and nearby lake. 

After a thorough site assessment, ELM developed an comprehensive, 20-phase Master Plan to address the above, along with conceptual designs and a capital investment strategy spanning several years. Development is currently underway with the construction of new cabins.
