RIVERFRONT PARK AT RIVERTOWN
ST. JOHNS, FLORIDA
Located within a magnificent mature forest and shoreline environment along the St. Johns River, the 58-acre Riverfront Park was designed to provide a venue for public recreation and river access, while simultaneously protecting and enhancing the site’s natural landscape and ecological systems.
A significant feature of the RiverTown entry experience, the park anchors one end of the boulevard leading to the community’s amenity center, and its signature fishing pier pavilion has become one of the region’s most recognizable iconic public structures.
ELM designed the park’s dock, fishing pier, waterfront overlook and pedestrian and bicycle trails to fully connect the constructed improvements and natural ecological systems, allowing the park to perform at a very high ecological level while also providing a beautiful venue for recreation.
